BEM Development Centres

For Winter 2004, all those Centres mentioned below will be operative.

Contact Tony Bowry or Numan Syed for further details.

The Centres that ran last year have been hugely successful. As many as 50% of last year`s intake have gone on to play for established League Cricket Clubs.

Players from the Centres had also helped to found Junior sections at certain Clubs, such as Primrose Hill CC in the Huddersfield area.

Also, 5 players from Mount CC U13s had played regular Senior Cricket in the 3rd XI in the Dales Council League.

The Dewsbury Centre, mentioned below, was equally successful for the Coaches involved as many of them also went onto coach at local Clubs within the Junior secions.

The following are the confirmed venues for Centres in the Winter of early 2004.

In many respects, the most exciting development is that in MIDDLESBROUGH, where the local Council has been able to inject some £6,000.00 into BEM activities and which will fund a Centre in 2004 and afterwards.
