Development Officers

There are 4 Cricket Development Officers employed by the Board and their details are as follows.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1)They are responsible to the Management Panel of the Yorkshire Cricket Board.
Their Line Manager is
Ian Chappell.

2)Their prime responsibilities are as follows.
a)To promote and develop the game of Cricket at all levels and in all situations, especially in schools
b)To promote and implement the Yorkshire Cricket Board
Development Plan within the context of the National Development Plan for Cricket
c)To implement the
policy of the Yorkshire Cricket Board

3)To take responsibility for the regions as listed below as required by the Yorkshire Cricket Board

4)To take specific responsibility for the partcular project areas as listed below as required by the Yorkshire Cricket Board.

IAN CHAPPELL - SECRETARY / TREASURER OF THE YORKSHIRE CRICKET BOARD

He is responsible for the direction of YCB policy, including Grounds policy, Premier Leagues, Disability matters and those pertaining to the BEM Forum.
He has oversight of all development planning
He has oversight of Child Welfare matters and is the current YCB Child Welfare Officer
He has overview of all Club Development matters
He looks after all matters concerning YCB`s relationships with ECB
He is the Development Manager and the YCDO and Admin Officer Line Manager
He is responsible for policy and directional planning
As Treasurer, he is responsible for all financial planning, budgets and reports
He is responsible for the pay-roll issues pertaining to all YCB employees

HOWARD CLAYTON - ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

He is responsible for the management of the YCB Office and reproductive facilities
He maintains all registers, records and data-bases
He manages the YCB web-site
He is responsible for all affiliation records
He looks after all general correspondence
He is responsible for the taking and copying of Minutes at all Board and appropriate Sub-Committee and Working Party meetings
He is responsible for organising and implementing all mail-outs

ALL OTHER MATTERS

Matters specific to other Officials should be sent direct to them, for example all matters pertaining to Transfers and Discipline should go to Philip Radcliffe.

NORTH - IAN DEWS

Ian is responsible for the Unitary Authority of York, North Yorkshire County Council and the shire districts of Craven, Hambleton, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby (green on the map)

His specific area of responsibility is to act as the Co-ordinator for all Coaching Courses and Coach Education.

He is now the Joint Lead Officer (with Andrew Watson) for YCB Development and Facility Strategy including Playground Markings.

He is the Joint Lead Officer (with Andrew Watson) on all questions pertaining to Child Welfare.

He is the Assistant Lead Officer of all questions pertaining to the Community Club Development Fund project.

He is the Lead Officer for Club Mark matters.

He is responsible for the organisation and administration of Interval Displays at all matches at Headingley.

He has under his jurisdiction 190 Affiliated Clubs, 387 Primary Schools and 58 Seconday Schools.

SOUTH - ANDREW WATSON

Andrew is responsible for the Metropolitan Districts of South Yorkshire - Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. (yellow on the map)

His specific area of responsibility is the development of Women`s Cricket and liaison with the Yorkshire Women`s Cricket Association. He also deals with Lottery applications and Awards for All.

He is now the Joint Lead Officer (with Ian Dews) for YCB Development and Facility Strategy including Playground Markings.

He is the Joint Lead Officer (with Ian Dews) on Child Welfare matters.

He is the Lead Officer for the Community Club Development Fund project.

He is the Assistant Lead Officer for Club Mark matters.

He is responsible for District Cricket.

He has under his jurisdiction 80 Affiliated Clubs, 415 Primary Schools and 96 Seconday Schools.

EAST - IAN POWELL

Ian is responsible for the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Unitary Authorities of Kingston upon Hull, Middlesbrough and Redcar/Cleveland (pink on the map)

His specific area of responsibility is Cricket for the Disabled, covering all areas of disability and liaison with appropriate groups and the Yorkshire Disability Cricket Forum. Ian also deals with Ground development and non-turf pitches.

He is responsible for all quarterly statistical analysis and all activities reports.

He is responsible for all Ground matters.

He is responsible for all matters pertaining to Inter Cricket.

He is responsible for all matters pertaining to KWIK Cricket.

He is responsible for organising School Visits programmes and the allocation of Coaches to these visits.

He is responsible for the implementation of the YCB`s Volunteer Programme.

He has under his jurisdiction 120 Affiliated Clubs (70 in the East of the County and 50 in Cleveland), 343 Primary Schools (247 in East Yorkshire and 96 in Cleveland) and 56 Seconday Schools (28 in East Yorkshire and 28 in Cleveland).

Tony is responsible for the Metropolitan Districts of West Yorkshire - Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield (blue on the map)

His specific area of responsibility is the development of Black and Ethnic Minorities, including liaison with the Yorkshire Black and Ethnic Minority Cricket Forum.

He is also reasponsible for all matters pertaining to the Yorkshire CCC`s Junior Vikings programme.

He is responsible for all social inclusion initiatives.

He is responsible for all matters pertaining to Umpires and Scorers.

He has under his jurisdiction 420 Affiliated Clubs, 793 Primary Schools and 145  Seconday Schools.
